Feel & Firmness
The 5G
mattresses are firm and supportive, while the top is soft and offers a nice
cushioning feel. These mattresses are medium-firm, which makes them suitable
for most sleeper types. Due to the memory foam layers, the mattress has a good
hug, which some sleepers fancy, while others don’t.
Edge Support
Compared to
other foam mattresses, the 5G provides fairly good edge support. These
mattresses are solid and sturdy enough so you won’t feel like you’re rolling
off the edges. However, heavier sleepers over 100 kg might have some trouble
while sitting or sleeping on the edges due to their weight.
2.
Motion Isolation
The high-density
visco-elastic memory foam these mattresses are made of promises to provide zero
partner disturbance as the foam contours each body separately and absorbs
motion. Moreover, since it’s an all-foam mattress, the 5G also isolates noise
quite well.
3.
Bounce
The memory
foam top layer of the 5G mattress is thick and sturdy, so there is very little
bounciness in this mattress. If you’re looking for a mattress with more bounce,
a hybrid model with a coil-based support system might be a better choice.

Mattress Construction
Every
material deployed in the Ergoflex mattresses is manufactured in-house. The
company takes great pride in its proprietary high-density HD foam. This memory
foam is meant to ensure the same longevity, comfort, and body-moulding support
as the foam used in the TEMPUR® mattresses.
The specially-engineered Cool-Sleep airflow is another top feature you can
only find in these mattresses. This system dissipates the body’s warmth, which
makes the mattress excellent for those who have problems sleeping hot. The whole mattress is designed for good
airflow. The Tencel cover has 3D mesh panels at each end, which further tackles
heat buildup.
The 5G mattress features a 5-layer sleep system:
·
The TENCEL® outer cover that offers a soft and breathable
surface
·
A micro-fine inner cover that protect the core
of the mattress
·
A 9cm layer of true high-density, visco-elastic
memory foam that offers great body-shaping support
·
The Ergoflex™ 5cm Cool-Sleep™ airflow system
that regulates temperature and provides good airflow for cool and restful sleep
·
The 9cm high-resilience, impact-resistant
foundation that guarantees sturdy support and increased longevity
This
mattress is Certi-Pur® certified and meets the OKEO-TEX® 100 standard.

What Medical Conditions Does
the Mattress Support?
The
high-density open-cell memory foam in these mattresses offers great support and
orthopaedic pressure relief. The strong impact-resistant foundation layer also
contributes to the 5G’s consistent support. These mattresses distribute the
body weight evenly, which reduces pressure and ensures a correct spine
alignment.
Delivery,
Sleep Trial, Returns
Ergoflex
offers free next-day delivery and returns and a 30-night trial. This is better
than nothing, however, it is less than the 100-night trial most mattress
manufacturers offer. If you decide not to keep your mattress during the first 30
days, the company will pick it up for free and offer you a refund. You don’t
have to put the mattress back in the box to return it.
Social
& Environmental Impact
Ergoflex
mattresses are fully compliant with UK BS 5852 & BS 7177 safety standards.
The company doesn’t state if the mattresses people return during the trial
period are recycled or donated.
